ABOUT VERMILLYX

A small placefor making things.

Vermillyx is an independent collection of software, games, tools, experiments, stories, and other things I feel like making.

Not really a company.

Vermillyx is my little corner of the internet for projects that don't necessarily fit anywhere else.

Some things are useful. Some are experiments. Some are games. Some are stories. Some exist simply because I wanted to see if I could make them.

The common thread is that they're made by me, under the same name, and with the freedom to explore whatever happens to be interesting at the time.

01

Software

Small applications, web projects, utilities, and things designed to solve a problem without making the problem bigger.

02

Experiments

Ideas that are interesting enough to build, even when they don't have a particularly serious purpose.

03

Games

Small games and interactive ideas made for the fun of making them.

04

Stories

Fiction, fragments, and other things that belong more on a page than inside an application.

Because sometimesmaking itis enough.

There are plenty of ideas that don't need to become businesses, startups, or polished products.

Vermillyx gives those ideas somewhere to live.

It's a place to learn by building, to try strange ideas, to make useful little things, and occasionally to make something completely unnecessary just because it sounds fun.

One person,
many rabbit holes.

Vermillyx is currently a solo project.

I design, build, write, maintain, and experiment with everything here. That also means the projects can change direction whenever I discover something more interesting.

There isn't a fixed roadmap for everything. Some projects become something bigger. Others stay small. Some disappear for a while and come back later.

01Make things worth using.
02Keep simple things simple.
03Don't be afraid to experiment.
04Useful first. Fancy second.
05Make room for weird ideas.

Thanks forstopping by.

Have a look around. There might be something useful, something interesting, or something completely unnecessary.
